A visit to the Mother City is never complete without a stopover at the always well-stocked Book Lounge.
During a visit mid last year, I paid the obligatory visit to this favourite of mine and came away with this beauty, Bitter Fruit. It is an old book that had been on my radar for a while. Luckily, there was a new print of it (new introduction and cover design). I gladly grabbed it.
During the same visit, I had wandered into the Exclusive Books outlet at V&A Waterfront, found Dry conspicuously displayed, read the blurb and decided it was worth buying and straight to the checkout counter.
So, the haul on this trip comprised of something new and another, old. Both new to my collection and I anticipate worthy reads for the days ahead.
